Authors' Guide
The editorial board of the Ashur Journal of Legal and Political Sciences is pleased to accept contributions from researchers from inside and outside Iraq in the field of legal and political sciences. We are pleased to inform you that your research will be published after it has been scientifically evaluated by experts recognized for their academic competence in their general and specific fields of specialization. The journal's management requires researchers to take into account the specific comments made by the evaluating experts regarding their scientific contributions. The journal may not publish research that does not comply with the principles and methodology of scientific research. The following are the journal's publication guidelines, under two axes:
The first axis: Formal criteria.
First: Title of the research: The title of the research should be written on the first page, including the researcher's name, academic title, and place of work. When more than one researcher participates in the research, the names of the participants and their full addresses should be included. A five-line curriculum vitae (CV) and a personal photo of the researcher should also be included, to be submitted on a CD.
Second: The body of the research: The research must be printed on one side of the paper in A4 format, with pages not exceeding 20 pages, including maps and models. The research must be printed according to the appropriate page layout. The research must be summarized in both Arabic and English, beginning with an introduction and ending with a conclusion that includes a summary of the discussion and conclusions.
Third: Footnotes: Footnotes must be printed in a standard font size and placed at the end of the research before the sources or references.
Fourth: Copies of the research: The research must be submitted in two copies, along with an electronic copy on CD and the plans to be published with it, if available. Each page of the printed research must be 18 x 24.5, with equal spaces left on each side of the page.
Fifth: The journal will publish previously unpublished research, and the researcher will be notified of acceptance for publication within fifteen days of the date of receipt of the research.
Sixth: The journal owns the copyright to the research published in it. No other party may republish or even translate it without obtaining written approval from the editor-in-chief.
Seventh: The journal is not obligated to republish published or unpublished research. Eighth: The researcher bears full legal and social responsibility in the event of plagiarism, quotation, or exploitation of the written or published work of others without crediting them.
Ninth: The journal has the right to publish research according to a plan determined by the editorial board. Tenth: The researcher shall bear an amount of 125,000 Iraqi dinars upon submission of the research. This amount will be returned to the researcher in the event of its rejection for publication, after deducting 30,000 Iraqi dinars.
Second Axis: Objective Criteria:
First: The research topic and its specialization must be within the scope of the journal.
Second: The introduction must meet all its elements and requirements (a clear and measurable problem, a salient hypothesis, a specific methodology, previous studies within the research path, and a balanced plan).
Third: The researcher's objectives must be clearly stated and unambiguously.
Fourth: The research must achieve a qualitative contribution to the field of specialization and offer positive solutions for society.
Fifth: The research results must accurately reflect the researcher's efforts, and the proposals must not deviate from the scientific framework of the research. Sixth: The need to achieve balance in terms of form and subject matter.
Seventh: The necessity of considering the requirements of intellectual integrity, preserving national unity, and the supreme societal interest.
