The issue of begging represents a major social and economic challenge that has plagued societies since ancient times. It is widespread in both developed and emerging countries, although it is particularly evident in developing countries due to economic and social backwardness. This problem is exacerbated by the deteriorating security situation, cross-border migration, adverse economic conditions, and the increasing number of beggars who use various methods. This phenomenon became particularly evident in the 1990s due to the economic embargo and insufficient oil revenues, and it continued to worsen after 2003 as a result of various political and social upheavals. Research calls for combating poverty and unemployment by creating job opportunities, ensuring the financial stability of poor families, addressing family disintegration, and reducing divorce rates.
