Abstract

This research addresses the issue of the peaceful use of nuclear energy within the framework of international legal rules, focusing on the Iranian situation as a model. The research presents the basic rules governing the peaceful use of nuclear energy in accordance with international law،It distinguishes between the rules governing the possession of nuclear weapons and those governing the peaceful use of nuclear energy. It also discusses the rights of states to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes within the international legal framework, as well as their obligations to the international community، Including its commitment to transparency and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Finally, the paper presents the challenges facing Iran in this context and how it is dealing with the current crisis. It also discusses the options available to the IAEA and Iran in an attempt to overcome this crisis.
