Abstract

This study explores the impact of social media on diplomacy and international relations. Social platforms have emerged as powerful tools used by states, institutions, and organizations to enhance their global image, engage with public opinion, and influence international policy. The findings reveal that social media has reshaped diplomatic practices by fostering digital diplomacy based on real-time interaction, transparency, and public engagement. However, the study also highlights the challenges posed by fake news, cyber threats, and media manipulation. The research recommends that countries invest in digital diplomatic training and adopt clear strategies for responsible and effective use of social media to strengthen their global standing.
