Abstract

The international arena embraces complex and intricate conflicts over economic resources, as Nigeria witnesses historical and economic disputes related to the distribution of its rich natural resources, such as oil, water, and agricultural lands. This conflict is characterized by its political and national complexities, reflecting the challenges of achieving sustainable development amidst the competition of various parties. These conflicts arise as a result of development tensions and unfair distribution of wealth, where individuals and communities compete for a piece of the economic pie, fueling social and political tensions. The dilemma of resource distribution lies in achieving a balance between meeting the needs of the people and fostering development, while simultaneously addressing the demands and aspirations of conflicting parties vying for power and resources.
