Abstract

International disputes over shared oil fields are among the global issues with multifaceted political, legal, and economic dimensions. Such disputes necessitate the pursuit of peaceful and diplomatic means, including negotiation, good offices, mediation, inquiry, conciliation, and political settlement. Legal avenues, such as arbitration and international adjudication, are conducted through the nomination of negotiating teams by the disputing states. These teams are entrusted with proposing and formulating appropriate legal solutions, such as agreements, treaties, or legal contracts that regulate the management, production, exploitation, and development of shared oil fields, subject to the consent of the concerned parties and in a manner that preserves their respective interests.
